The IART SCR Level II Course prepares the diver for Extended Range Diving using a SCR to depths up to 60m. The course has two options; option A provides the opportunity to learn the theory and techniques required to safely execute open circuit decompression dives using air up to 50m. Option B provides the opportunity to learn the theory and techniques required for extended range decompression diving using Normoxic Trimix to depths up to 60m.
What do I need to start?
- Must be a minimum certification level of IART SCR Level I Diver or Equivalent
- Provide proof of 50 hours on the specific SCR unit being used for the course.
- Must provide proof of current diving medical.
- Minimum of 18 years old.
What will I do?
Option A: The diver will learn the theorectical and practical aspects of deep and decompression diving, taking into account the equipment and decompression planning aspects of extended range diving. This is done over at least 2 confined water dives and 4 open water dives accumulating at least 180 minutes of dive time.
option B: Covering all aspects of option A training with the addition of theoretical and practical aspects of diving with Normoxic Trimix. 2 additional dives are to be completed using Normoxic Trimix.
